Submit an Unmanaged RMA Return Order
When you receive returned order items, you can submit the unmanaged RMA return order and process a payment refund to the shopper or buyer.
Required Editions
Quantity fields don’t display automatically on the Return Order Line Item page. Because you use the quantity fields to verify and update item quantities before submitting an unmanaged RMA return order, add these quantity fields to the Return Order Line Item default page layout.
- Quantity Expected
- Quantity Received
- Quantity Rejected
- Reason for Rejection
You can only submit an unmanaged RMA return order that’s activated.
-
Verify that a return order isn’t submitted for the returned items.
- From the Navigation bar, open the order summary for the items being returned, and select the Related tab.
- Check the Return Orders section for existing return orders.
- Check the Order Product Summaries section for status and item quantities.
- From the Return Orders section, open the return order that you want to close.
- On the Related tab, open each return order line item.
-
Verify and update these fields.
- Quantity Expected
- Quantity Received
- Quantity Rejected
- Reason for Rejection
- Save your changes, and go back to the return order record.
- On the Details tab, change the status of the return order to Submitted.
Order Management creates a change order, generates a credit memo, and refunds the customer’s payment.
Important Submitting an unmanaged RMA return order doesn’t update the item
quantities and financial information on the Order Summary and associated objects. You must
update the item quantities and financial information manually.
