            Payments Processing for Commerce and Order Management

            Salesforce Payments provides payment processing for Salesforce B2B and D2C Commerce and Salesforce Order Management. When Payments is installed on the same Salesforce org as Commerce, Payments is responsible for tokenization and authorizations for payment methods, such as credit cards, digital wallets, and alternative payment methods for purchases. It also offers fraud protection with 3D Secure authentication. When installed on the same org as Salesforce Order Management, Order Management enables payment management of post-order tasks, such as returns and refunds. The integration also aids fulfillment work flows, where Order Management is responsible for capturing funds authorized at checkout.

            When Salesforce Payments and Order Management are operating together, the functionality differs depending on the Commerce product.

            • Salesforce B2B and D2C Commerce—Integrates Salesforce Payments with Order Management for payment tokenization, authorization, captures, and refunds with Stripe, Adyen, and PayPal accounts.
            • Salesforce B2C Commerce—Integrates Stripe and PayPal accounts with Order Management. For Stripe accounts, you can capture payments and issue refunds. For PayPal accounts, you can only issue refunds.
