Category Search Pipeline Redirects to SEO-Friendly Category URL
A category search pipeline URL with the "cgid" parameter now automatically redirects to the SEO-friendly URL defined in the URL Rules module or category URL override.
The change results in a new behavior for URL redirect, while retaining and improving the SEO value of URLs.
For example: A request for Womens category https://localhost/s/SiteGenesis/search?cgid=womens&lang=en_US redirects to
the SEO-friendly URL https://localhost/s/SiteGenesis/womens/?lang=en_US as defined in Business
Manager URL Rules.
