Use Server-Side Activity Tracking for Facebook

Commerce Cloud customers using the Facebook Dynamic Ads feature can now configure their Commerce Cloud instance to track shopper activity and send data server side to Facebook.

Where: Configure the enhancement in Business Manager.

Why: Chrome and other major browsers are retiring support for third-party cookies, which negates the effectiveness of the current pixel based tracking needed for the Facebook Dynamic Ads feature. To address the change, Salesforce now provides server-side activity tracking for Facebook.

How: When enabled in Business Manager, B2C Commerce uses Einstein for Commerce to collect customer data, convert it to the Facebook format, and send it server side.

          To enable the feature:

          • Enable Einstein for Commerce on your site
          • Get the Conversion API access token
          • Enable server-side tracking for Facebook in Business Manager
