Configure Miscellaneous Tender in POS App

Configure Miscellaneous Tender in POS App

Point of Sale supports miscellaneous tender as a payment option in the POS app. This allows for more options if the more common or standard payment methods (like card, cash, check, finance, or PayPal) don't work for a merchant's specific payment types. Configure your store and register settings in CMS to support Mischellaneous Tenders.

          Note
Note As of September 2023, the Add Miscellaneous Tender form isn't customizable beyond the radio buttons. This means the labels for "Account Number" and "Authorization Code" can't be changed. These fields can still be used to capture additional data.

When you choose the Miscellaneous Tender type in the cart as the payment tender, a popup with the value entered in the Store Settings shows up. Users can choose (radio button) from the comma-separated values. Additionally, two extra attributes can be captured for miscellaneous tender.

          1. Configure store settings in CMS.
            1. In CMS, go to Store Management | Store Settings | Payment.
            2. Expand Advanced.
            3. Under Miscellaneous Tenders, specify (via a comma-separated list) the various miscellaneous tenders you'd like to expose on the POS app.
Salesforce Customer Support can help you with this. Point of Sale supports most card types, finance types, and common providers.
          2. Configure register settings in CMS.
            1. In CMS, go to Store Management | Registers.
            2. Select a store.
            3. Edit a register by clicking on the pencil icon.
            4. Under Supported Tenders, add “Miscellaneous”.
          3. Configure Cart Options Deep Link
            1. In CMS, go to Cart Options or Advanced Cart Options layout.
            2. Using the deep link picker, add the “Set Miscellaneous Tender” deep link.
