Share Data with Amazon SageMaker
Amazon SageMaker includes AWS Glue Data Catalog Views, AWS Lake Formation, and AWS engines to run queries using Amazon Redshift, Athena, or Elastic MapReduce (EMR). Share Data 360 objects, such as data lake objects, data model objects, and calculated insights objects, with an Amazon Redshift account using a data share.
- Some of the required steps and links are external to Salesforce content. Salesforce doesn’t maintain these links.
- Review the prerequisites in Harness Zero Copy Data Sharing from Salesforce Data Cloud to Amazon Redshift for Unified Analytics – Part 1.
Sharing data with Amazon SageMaker allows you to access Salesforce Data 360 objects from Amazon Redshift, Athena, or EMR. Link the data share to an Amazon SageMaker data share target to make the Data 360 objects available to the Amazon Redshift account. You can then query live, harmonized, and unified data from Amazon Redshift.
- Identify the Data 360 objects that you want to access, and create a data share in Data 360. See Create a Data Share.
- Create a data share target in Data 360 to establish connectivity with an Amazon Redshift account. See Create a Data Share Target to Connect with Amazon SageMaker.
-
Link the data share with the data share target to make Data 360 objects accessible in
Amazon Redshift. See Link or Unlink Data Shares and Data Share Targets.
Once you link the data share and the data share target, it is available in AWS.
- In the customer AWS account, on the Lake Formation console, accept the data share, create the resource link, mount Salesforce Data 360 objects as data catalog views, and grant permissions to query the live and unified data in Amazon Redshift. See Harness Zero Copy Data Sharing from Salesforce Data Cloud to Amazon Redshift for Unified Analytics – Part 1.
Data 360 supports same-region data sharing with Amazon Redshift Serverless and provisioned RA3 clusters. Data 360 also supports cross-region data sharing with Amazon Redshift. See Harness Zero Copy Data Sharing from Salesforce Data Cloud to Amazon Redshift for Unified Analytics – Part 2.
- Create a Data Share Target to Connect with Amazon SageMaker
