Get Predictions, Prescriptions, and Top Predictors

Get Predictions, Prescriptions, and Top Predictors

Put your predictive AI models into action. After a model is activated, use it to get inferences—predictions, prescriptions, and top predictors—from your Salesforce workflows. Get inferences on demand, in batches, and in streams. Use them in flows, prediction jobs, batch data transforms, agents, and prompt templates. Get them programmatically in Apex and REST applications.

          • Actionable Variables and Prescriptions
In AI Models (formerly Einstein Studio) Model Builder, which uses data from Data 360, actionable variables are fields in a model created from scratch (AI-created) that you can change to influence a predictive outcome. In constrast to other fields that you can't change, such as a customer's location, gender, and age, actionable variables can be changed. These variables are important because they provide suggested actions (prescriptions) that users can take for more succesful outcomes.
          • Use Outputs from Predictive Models
There are many ways in which you can consume predictions, prescriptions, and top factors returned from predictive models.
          • Transform Data with Predictions and Prescriptions
Enrich a data model object (DMO) with outputs. Use a data transform to add predictive and prescriptive intelligence to your data. Run data transformations and save the outputs, such as prediction scores, on a DMO. Use each row of the output to create derived columns and run calculations. You can also build data visualizations using output data saved on the DMO in other Salesforce applications, such as in Tableau, CRM Analytics, and app templates.
          • Use Predictions in Flow Builder
Create automation using outputs from an activated model for decision-making. Predictive models that are activated in AI Models (formerly Einstein Studio) are surfaced in Flow as actions. You can use all flow types and choose a flow based on your goal. For example, if a business process requires user input or you want to display specific data to users, use a screen flow. If you want to automate possible actions to take after a record is created, updated, or deleted, use a record-triggered flow.
          • Use Predict Jobs
A predict job enables an active model to write predictive outputs to a data model object (DMO). Create a streaming or batch job in Model Builder and use the model's outputs in Salesforce workflows.
          • Get Predictions in REST APIs
Use the Salesforce Data 360 Connect REST API to programmatically interact with predictive models. Get predictions, top factors, and prescriptions using the predict endpoint.
          • Get Predictions in APEX
Use Apex code to get predictions, top factors, and prescriptions from a no-code model in Model Builder.
          • Use Predictive AI with Agents and Prompt Templates
Use predictive intelligence to power agents and prompt templates in Agentforce solutions.
          • Use Real-Time Predictions to Drive Personalized Recommendations
Predictive models in AI Models (formerly Einstein Studio) can generate real-time predictions to inform personalized recommendations in Salesforce Personalization. The integration enables the delivery of customized experiences, which can boost engagement. Predict the customer lifetime value annual spend, or likeliood to purchase and use your model's predictions in a Personalization Decision targeting rule to serve up different content recommendation strategies.
