          Create an External Platform Activation Target

          To publish segments to your external advertising platforms like Amazon Ads, create an external platform activation target in Data 360. An external platform can have multiple activation targets, but you can attach only one activation target to an external platform account.

          Required Editions

          Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          Available with add-on license: Ad Audiences
          Permission Sets Needed
          To create activation targets:

          Any one of these permission sets:

          • Data Cloud Architect
          • Data Cloud Activation Manager

          Make sure that you've completed these tasks before creating an external activation target:

          1. On the Activation Targets tab, click New.
          2. Select an external activation platform, and click Next.
          3. Enter a name and an optional description.
            If the privacy type isn't set, update the external activation platform to include a privacy type.
          4. Add the platform's account and login details, and click Next.
          5. For certain advertising platforms, you’ll redirected to its site to enter your login details. Enter your login details, if required.
            1. Grant access permissions to Data 360, and accept the terms of service.
              You’re redirected to Data 360 and provided with the accounts that you have permission to upload audiences to.
            2. Select the data space you want to associate your activation target with.
            3. Select the Account Name and ID.
              The selected data space determines which Account IDs are available to create a unique combination for single use.
              For external activation targets for advertising audiences, you can create activation memberships only from the Individual DMO.
            4. For Amazon Ads, if you have access to both an Amazon DSP account and AMC instance, you’re prompted to select an account for each.
              If you select both DSP and AMC for a new activation target, make sure that your accounts are linked in Amazon Ads. Then, you can view the DSP account performance data in the AMC instance.
          6. If you're using a platform installed from AppExchange, enter your Account ID.
            Each account ID is unique and you can use it for only one activation target.
            1. Select the data space you want to associate your activation target with.
          7. Click Save.
