Einstein Segments in Data 360
Create segments with Einstein Segment Creation generative AI. Enter a high-level description of your segment and receive a suggested segment and all its attributes. Easily draft another segment by changing the description, or edit the segment’s attributes to make adjustments. After you’re satisfied with your segment, publish and activate it.
Einstein Segments and Your Data
When you generate a segment, Salesforce doesn’t send Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data, including data from the Unified Individual DMO, to third-party sources. Your customer data isn’t shared with others or used to enrich other customer data. For more information, see Data Masking.
Salesforce sends sample data for each field so that generative AI can understand the context and create a grounded model. For example, if a Hobby field exists in your data, the grounded model can recognize that hiking, canoeing, and running are related to hobbies. Generative AI can then suggest meaningful segment definitions that relate to your actual audience data when you enter a description, such as customers who enjoy outdoor sports.
Trust and Einstein Segments
Unethical or biased language isn’t allowed when creating an Einstein segment. If a description includes unethical or biased language, an error message appears telling you to change your description.
To help reduce the possibility of creating bias in segments created by generative AI, all demographic attributes that can create bias are deselected by default. If you encounter something unethical, contact your Salesforce representative.
- Set Up Your Data for Einstein Segments in Data 360
To get proper results when creating an Einstein segment, make sure that your data is prepared correctly. - Enable Einstein Segments in Data 360
Before you can create Einstein segments, enable generative AI and then turn on Einstein segments. - Create an Einstein Segment in Data 360
Describe your segment to get suggested related attributes that are based on the data found in your org. To avoid bias and inaccuracies, all demographic attributes are removed. Attributes that produce fewer than 10 results for the segment population are also removed to improve the segment's accuracy. - How to Write a Good Prompt for Einstein Segments in Data 360
When creating a segment, use certain formats and language to get the best results possible. Provide descriptive names for data model objects (DMOs) and attributes to ensure that generative AI can understand them. OpenAI was trained on data that leans toward the United States, which influences Einstein’s responses. If you require a specific country, enter the name of the country in the prompt. - Improve Your Einstein Segment Creation Results in Data 360
