Billing Considerations for Data 360 Sandbox
Use of Data 360 in a sandbox impacts the consumption of credits.
The usage types for Data 360 in a sandbox are the same as the production usage types. Starting June 17, 2025, usage generated by Data 360 sandbox orgs consumes production credits on the org the sandbox was created from. Some features start consuming credits when you activate Data 360 in a sandbox org.
Use Digital Wallet to check which consumption cards are active in your org, find out how many credits are available on each card, and determine how many credits have been consumed in each usage type.
Some usage types aren’t metered for certain licenses or editions, such as a Data 360 Profiles license or Agentforce 1 Edition. Check your licenses and review license documentation for more information.
Data 360 Sandbox Consumption in Digital Wallet
Between October 2024 and June 17, 2025, usage generated by Data 360 on sandbox orgs was billed to sandbox versions of Data 360 consumption usage cards. Sandbox cards were retired after June 17, but continue to appear in Digital Wallet as long as the contract associated with them is active. Consumption generated while the card was active appears only on the retired card.
The production card won't show historical usage generated on sandbox orgs before June 17, 2025. After June 17, both sandbox and production usage appears on the production card. To determine which org generated usage in Digital Wallet, view the usage type and filter by org.
For more information, see Data 360 Sandbox Credit Merge.
Multipliers for Data 360 Sandbox Consumption
Starting June 17, 2025, usage multipliers on Data 360 sandbox orgs are discounted from usage multipliers on Data 360 production orgs. To find specific production and sandbox multipliers for each usage type, see Data Cloud Multipliers.
To understand what usage falls into which Data 360 usage type, see Data 360 Billable Usage Types for Data 360 and Flex Credits Usage Types for Data 360.
Reduce Sandbox Costs
Some features start consuming credits as soon you activate Data 360 in a sandbox org. Disabling features you don’t need reduces consumption of credits.
For example, data streams replicated from your production org begin ingesting data and consuming credits immediately. To reduce credit usage, turn off data streams that you don’t need.
