            Data Lake Object Naming Standards

            Use these naming guidelines for data lake objects.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Edition
            Field Label Description Field Type
            Data Lake Object Label Display name of the object storing the dataset. The object label must be unique. Required
            Data Lake Object API Name

            API name of the object storing the data. The name must be unique and no longer than 40 characters. The naming conventions are:

            • Only underscores and alphanumeric characters
            • Begin with a letter and not include spaces
            • Can’t end with an underscore
            • Can’t have two consecutive underscores
