          About Data 360 Releases

Data 360 releases new features on a monthly basis, often outside of the Salesforce three major releases. Updates are generally compatible unless special advance notifications are provided.

          Note
          Note

As of October 14, 2025, Data Cloud has been rebranded to Data 360. During this transition, you may see references to Data Cloud in our application and documentation. While the name is new, the functionality and content remains unchanged.

          Schedule

While Data 360 releases are monthly, release notes are grouped by the three major releases. Here are the months that are typically covered during these releases, with some overlap.

          • Spring: Februrary-April
          • Summer: May-August
          • Winter: September-January

          Feature Roll-Out

Even after a monthly release, a separate mechanism enables the release of features and enhancements to orgs. This enablement can take an additional 1-2 weeks before the feature is available in your org.

New Data 360 features are available in sandbox and production orgs in the same patch. While it’s possible that feature enhancements could be released at the same time, sandboxes typically receive patch releases approximately one week before the production environment.
