If a field is no longer required in a data stream, you can disable it. Disabling a field
removes it from the data stream, and no new data is ingested. You can’t assign the name of a
disabled field to a new field.
On the Fields tab on the record page, view the fields associated with the data
stream.
In the Search field, enter the field name or scroll the page to locate it.
At the end of the row for the field, click the down arrow and select Disable
Field.
Click Disable.
The disabled field remains in the data lake object (DLO), and the data
ingested before the field was disabled is still available in the DLO. You can't delete a
DLO field.
