Increase Segment Refresh from Data 360 to the Activation Targets

Increase Segment Refresh from Data 360 to the Activation Targets

Increase the frequency of segment refresh and shorten publishing time for activations from Data 360 to the activation targets using rapid segment publish. When you create a segment, choose a 1-hour or 4-hour schedule to send activation data, as compared to a standard 12-hour or 24-hour schedule. Each segment filters only the past 7 days of engagement data. Any records outside this window aren’t considered when selecting your output values.

Rapid segments are prioritized over standard segments. After you create a segment, you can’t change a standard schedule to a rapid schedule. Rapid segments provide the same capabilities as standard segments except for the guardrails of a lookback period and records processed. You can activate rapid segments to Marketing Cloud Engagement, file storage targets such as Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, SFTP, and Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and Data 360. To connect to any external API-based destination, create an activation-triggered flow. You can create up to 20 rapid segments.

You can use Rapid Publish in Incremental Refresh mode. For more information, see Activation Refresh Types.

Standard and rapid segments activate as data extensions in Engagement. Incremental Rapid Activations index based on the profile ID mapped to the subscriber key.
