Requirements for External Activation Targets
Consider these requirements when creating an activation target to an external platform account in Data 360.
Meta (Facebook) Requirements
- The Ad account must be associated with a Meta Business Manager account.
- A user must first accept Meta’s Custom Audience Terms of Service for the Business Manager account that owns or manages the Ad account. For information on Meta’s Terms of Service and how they’re applied, see the Meta Marketing API Documentation.
- You can create a Meta activation target only if you’re the owner of the ad account connected to Meta Business Manager, or the owner has provided you with either admin or advertiser permissions. If your account is new or if you’ve recently linked to an existing account, it can take a few weeks before you’re able to create or share a customer list custom audience. If your new account is part of a tenured business account, you might be able to go through business verification. For more information, see Meta Business Help Center.
Google Requirements
- To use Google Customer Match, your account must be in compliance and have a good payment history.
Google Ads Considerations
- Certain Customer Match features are available within a Google Ads account depending on the history and lifetime spend of that account. You can find more information on feature availability in Google's Advertising Policies Help Documentation.
- Some categories of products or services are deemed "sensitive" by Google, and consequently, Customer Match isn’t available for Ad Accounts within those categories. Comprehensive information about what Google considers a sensitive interest category under Personalized ads and Customer match policies can be found on the Google website, under the Personalized advertising policies article.
- Features available to advertisers depend on which requirements your account satisfies.
Amazon Consent Considerations
- For Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) and Amazon DSP, include the Country Code attribute in the activation target. If the Country Code doesn’t include a selected attribute, it defaults to Unknown and decreases match rates. You can find more information in Amazon's Help Documentation.
