Build and Deploy Related List Enrichments from a Data Cloud Sandbox
In a Data Cloud sandbox, build new related list enrichments or modify the existing ones that are automatically generated. After you finish testing your enrichments, package them in a data kit and deploy it to production using change sets.
Required Editions
Note Using related list enrichments in a sandbox and deploying them applies only to related list enrichments that are based on identity resolution.
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
Follow these steps to build, test, and deploy related list enrichments in a Data Cloud sandbox.
Test your related list enrichment in your sandbox.
After you finish testing, create a DevOps data kit to package your enrichment. Standard data kits
aren't supported yet. The general process is described in Deploy Data Cloud
Changes from a Sandbox, but for packaging related list enrichments, you have to
additionally complete the following steps.
In the Data Kit Contents page of your new data kit, scroll to the Related List
Enrichments section and click Add. Then, select the related
list enrichment you want to deploy.
After you link the data kit to an outbound change set, remember to add all of the related list enrichment’s dependent components to the change set as well. You'll also need to deploy page layout updates as part of a second change set.
After you deploy your inbound change set to your production org, you can
find your related list enrichment in Object Manager under your supported object’s list of
Data Cloud Related List Enrichments.
Deployment Considerations
Deployment of a related list enrichment can fail if the enrichment already exists in the
target org and not all components match. The system validates the following related list
enrichment components in the source and target orgs to make sure that they match.
Source and child Data model objects (DMO)
DMO relationships
Unified Individual or Account
Parent object
Child relationship name
If you deploy a related list enrichment to a target org that already has an enrichment with the exact same definition, the deployment will succeed, but no changes will be made to the org.
Deployment Considerations
In order to deploy a DMO, your data kit must include either a Data lake object (DLO)
mapping or an associated data stream. To mergeback relationships between 2 DMOs, ensure that
both DMOs meet this requirement, and ensure the Field Source Target Relationship is added to
the outbound change set.
Limitations
Deploying an updated related list enrichment is not supported.
Undeploy is not supported yet.
Connect REST API-based deployment is not supported yet.
