Publish Your Experience Builder Site Customizations

Publish your Aura or LWR site in Experience Builder to make your site updates and component customization updates available to your site members.

          Required Editions

Available in: Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
Applies to: LWR and Aura sites
          User Permissions Needed
To create an Experience Cloud site: Create and Set Up Experiences AND View Setup and Configuration
To customize or publish an Experience Cloud site:
          • Create and Set Up Experiences AND View Setup and Configuration AND be a member of the site

            OR

          • View Setup and Configuration AND be a member of the site AND have appropriate role-based site access

Publishing an Aura or LWR site for the first time makes the site URL live and enables login access for site members. Unlike Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce sites, you don’t need to activate an Experience Builder Site unless you want to set up SEO and send out a welcome email.

          Important
Important When you publish changes to a live site, remember that:
          • All updates made to the site since it was last published are included.
          • You can publish only one site at a time.
          1. In Experience Builder, preview your site to make sure that your updates appear as expected.
          2. When you’re happy with your changes, click Publish in the navigation bar to publish your changes.
To keep a record of the changes that you make each time you publish the site, summarize the changes in the Publication Description field in the confirmation window. Your summary then appears in the Change History panel in Experience Builder Settings.

An email notification informs you when your changes go live.
