Configure Search Functionality in Experience Cloud Sites

Help your visitors find what they’re looking for on your Experience Cloud sites.

Search behavior in Experience Cloud sites is different from searching an org.

          • When you search in an Experience Cloud site, you receive results specific to that site. To find items from a different site, site members must leave the current site and search in the other site.
          • In site search results, site members can view data that is explicitly shared with them in the site context. Shared content can include internal company content and records that aren’t explicitly shared with all site members.
          • In Experience Cloud sites, site members can enter terms, filter out, and select multiple topics to help refine their results. If a site member wants to view a complete list of results, they can clear all their filters.
          • Allow Users to Search LWR Sites
You can set up search pages in sites created with LWR templates so your visitors can search for CRM objects or CMS content published from enhanced CMS workspaces. Visitors can also search for content within the Rich Content Editor and HTML Editor components, as well as within page title metadata.
          • Allow Users to Search Aura Sites
Search in Aura sites depends on the type of template you use.
          • Allow Users to Search Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce Sites
Sites using Salesforce Tabs + Visualforce have much of the same functionality as Experience Cloud sites using Aura templates.
