The Build Your Own Template (Aura)

The Build Your Own Template (Aura)

The Build Your Own template provides the basic pages every Experience Builder site needs: Home, Create Record, Error, Record Detail, Record List, Related Record List, Search, Check Password, Forgot Password, Login, Login Error, and Register. And you can easily add more pages and components as needed for the experience you’re building. Customize your branding and themes to refine the look of your site.

          What You Get Out-of-the-Box

          • Experience Builder pages and components
          • Customizable branding and design

Advanced Features That You Can Configure

          • Audience-targeting: Deliver custom content to partners by geography, tier, or other criteria.
          • Google Analytics™: Track site activity with Google Analytics.
          • Prebuilt and custom Lightning components: Check out the full list of compatible Lightning components you can use to build out your site.

          Add Pages and Components

To view all components in the Components panel, select Settings | Advanced and click Show All Components in the Components Panel area. Some page functions require that you create a page in Experience Builder.

          For example:

          • To view reports, add a report object page to your site.
          • To include a Chatter feed in the site, create a Feed Detail page.
          • To let community members post questions and answers, add a Question Detail page.
          Note
Note Beginning in Summer ’26, Chatter is turned off by default in all new orgs. For any features in these orgs that require access to Chatter functionality or the Chatter APIs, turn on Chatter by going to Setup | Chatter Settings and selecting Enable. For details, see Chatter Is Turned Off by Default in New Orgs Beginning in Summer ’26.
