          Create Actionable Lists From List Definitions

          Create an actionable list by using an actionable list definition. You can specify list filtering criteria when creating a list. Before creating a list, ensure that your Salesforce admin has already created and activated the actionable list definition that you plan to use.

          User Permissions Needed
          To create actionable lists:

          Actionable Segmentation

          AND

          Query for Datapipelines User

          AND

          View Setup and Configuration permission

          Important
          Important To enable users to create an actionable list, your product license must contain the Query for Datapipelines User license and permission set. This permission retrieves records from the dataset through API calls. However, the permission has a monthly limit of 2,500 API calls.
          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Actionable Lists, and then click New.
          2. Enter a name and description for the list.
          3. From the Actionable List Definition dropdown menu, select the list definition that you plan to use to create this list.
          4. Click Next.
          5. To customize column preferences, click Edit Columns.
          6. You can either add filters and filter logic or apply a saved filter template to filter dataset records.
            • To apply a saved filter template, click any of the saved filter templates, and click Apply.
            • Add filters and filter logic, click Apply. To save these filters and filter logic, click Save as Template. Learn how to create filters, filter logic, and save them as a template in Salesforce Help.
          7. Select the records that you want to add to your actionable list, and click Review & Save.
            Note
            Note You can manually select up to 200 records to add to an actionable list. Using the bulk select option, you can select up to 10,000 records at a time to add to an actionable list.
          8. Select the default member status on the review selection page.
          9. Click Confirm & Save.
          10. To view the newly created actionable list, from the App Launcher, find and select Actionable Lists, and click the newly created list.

          • Customize Column Preferences for Actionable Lists
            List creators can customize the column preferences for their actionable lists according to business needs. When creating actionable lists in List Builder, list creators can choose what columns to show and their display order.
          • Create Custom Filter Logic and Save as a Template
            Create a custom filter logic to filter dataset records efficiently. Custom filter logic helps you to filter a large dataset of records when creating actionable lists. Save the filters and filter logic as a template to reuse.
          • Select Dataset Records for Actionable Lists
            You can manually select up to 200 records to add to an actionable list. Using the bulk select option, you can select up to 10,000 records at a time to add to an actionable list.
          • Sort Dataset Records in Actionable List Builder
            The list builder page displays the dataset records associated with the list definition, which is used to create an actionable list. Sort these dataset records for better visualization. It’s easier to filter and select record items from a sorted list.
