Enable Care Coordinators to Create Multiple Care Plans
Give care coordinators the ability to create one or more care plans per patient and
organize a patient’s care into focused, manageable components. Before care coordinators can create
multiple care plans, you must enable the option in your org.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health
Cloud
Note This option is enabled by default in new orgs. You can disable the setting to allow only a
single care plan per patient.
From Setup, enter Custom Settings in the Quick
Find box, then select Custom Settings.
In the list of custom settings, click Manage next to the
Health Cloud Feature Toggles custom settings.
Click Edit next to Multiple Care Plans.
Select the Enabled checkbox.
Click Save.
Note If you disable the Multiple Care Plans checkbox, there are no triggers blocking the
creation of multiple care plans. It simply changes what you see in the console. You no longer
have the option to create a new care plan from Patient Navigation and you can only see the one
care plan record. We don’t recommend enabling and disabling the checkbox multiple times as it
can cause issues with data.
