Most Health Cloud features are designed to use person accounts to model patients, members, and practitioners. Organizations, such as hospitals or medical practices, are modeled as accounts. You can configure other custom record types if you need them for individuals or groups, based on the default record type provided by Health Cloud.
- From Setup, enter Custom Metadata in the Quick Find box, then select Custom Metadata Types.
- In the list of custom metadata types, click Manage Records next to the Individual Record Type Mapper custom settings.
- Click New to create the mapping record.
-
Enter Person Account as the label for the mapping record.
Note The first label you enter must be Person Account. You can choose the names for all subsequent record types. - You must have at least one mapping record using this label. This mapping is used by Health Cloud to create records.
- For Individual Record Type Name, enter a name for the record type. This field is only for administrator use. The name can be the same as the label.
- In the Account Record Type field, enter the name of a valid person account record type that you want to use in this mapping. You can use the default person account record type or one that you’ve created.
-
(Optional) If you’re using a Developer Edition org, enter the org namespace for your org
(not the package namespace) in the Record Type Namespace (Account)
field.
Note If you aren’t using a Developer Edition org, ensure that the Record Type Namespace (Account) field is blank. - Leave the Contact Record Type field blank. Person accounts don’t use the contact record type.
- Leave the Record Type Namespace (Contact) field blank.
- Save your work.
