          Contract Management in Health Cloud

          Contract Management in Health Cloud

Health Cloud's comprehensive contract management solution provides payers, providers, and provider groups with a single, integrated system for recording contract information. The ability to find the information they need and manage fee schedules all in one place makes your contracting specialists' jobs easier and ensures faster access to patient care.

Provider Network Management includes limited access to Salesforce Contracts in the Health Cloud Provider Network Management Add-On license. With Salesforce Contracts, your users can use features such as Contract Approval Workflow, Contract Version Management, E-Signature Integration, and so on to efficiently manage the end-to-end lifecycle of contracts.

          Note
Note Health Cloud customers can only access the Contract Management part of Salesforce Contracts by default. To use Clause Management, Obligation Management, Microsoft Word 365 Editor, and other Salesforce Contracts features, you have to purchase Salesforce Contracts.

Ensure that you create the contract for the provider network using the Contract page and have it ready before defining the payment terms. To simplify the process, you can associate the contract with the right network participation record directly on the Contract record page. Then, your contract applies to all providers or provider groups who are part of the network participation.

Health Cloud contract management consists of the Contract Payment Agreement parent object, its child objects, and the Contract Payment Agreement Terms lightning component, which help to support these seven industry-standard payment types:

Payment Types Health Cloud Object for this Payment Type
          Fee-for-Service Standard Care Fee Agreement
Category-Based Payment Categorized Care Fee Agreement
Percentile-Based Payment Percentile Care Fee Agreement
Shared Savings Shared Saving Payment Agreement
Capitated Payment Capitation Care Fee Agreement
Bundled Payment Bundled Care Fee Agreement
          Preventive Care Preventive Care Agreement
          Note
Note These objects are accessible only within the context of the Contract Payment Agreement parent object and not from the App launcher. Your users can’t create standalone records for them.

If your organization’s contract specifications require a different payment type, you can configure custom payment types. See Configure Custom Payment Agreement Types.
