Keep in mind the number of appointments supported per Health Cloud user. You can purchase more appointments to meet your business needs. Work with your account executive to find a solution that meets your goals. - Enable Salesforce Scheduler for Health Cloud
Enable Salesforce Scheduler so you can use it to book and manage patient appointments with Intelligent Appointment Management. - Configure Intelligent Appointment Management Settings for Salesforce Scheduler
Configure settings that specify a named credential. - Make Providers Available for Appointment Scheduling
To make a provider available for appointment scheduling, edit the Salesforce Scheduler permission set and then assign the permission set to all relevant providers. - Create Service Resources for Providers and Assets
For provider scheduling, create service resource records to represent providers. For asset scheduling, create service resources to represent assets. You can then associate these resources with territories and visit types. - Create and Enable Shifts for Channel Support in Intelligent Appointment Management
Create shifts to specify the availability of providers and assets for appointments. Then, set up engagement channel types to give patients and providers the flexibility to meet over the phone, with video, or in person. Don't use appointment modes with shifts. - Set Up Concurrent Scheduling for Intelligent Appointment Management
With concurrent scheduling, schedulers can book multiple customer appointments in the same time slot. Concurrent scheduling is available with Salesforce Scheduler as the concurrency limits are set for shifts and work types. However, if you're using an external scheduler that supports concurrency, Intelligent Appointment Management reflects this as it fetches all available slots. - Set Up Capacity-Based Scheduling for Intelligent Appointment Management
Limit the number of appointments a scheduler can book for a given shift and type of work. For example, set a cap on the number of new patients a scheduler can book with a provider or at a clinic per day. - Set Up Recurring Scheduling for Intelligent Appointment Management
Simplify the process of scheduling ongoing care such as physical therapy appointments that occur at regular intervals at a specified frequency. Add recurring scheduling to the Intelligent Appointment Management home page or the appointment guidance flow. - Configure Operating Hours for Providers and Facilities
Configure operating hours for providers and facilities to use when scheduling appointments in Intelligent Appointment Management. If you track work hours by using shifts in Salesforce Scheduler, you can leave operating hours in service territory members and work types blank. - Create Service Territories for Facilities and Assets
Create a service territory to represent a facility where work is performed. For example, you can represent a hospital as a service territory. Later, you can assign providers who practice at that hospital as service territory members. - Create a Service Territory Member
Providers are represented as service resources and facilities are represented as service territories. To associate a provider with a facility for scheduling, create a service territory member record. - Assign Visit Types to Service Territories
Map each visit type (work type) to a service territory.
