Enable Features for Automotive Cloud
Turn on settings in your org that enable Automotive Cloud and its associated features.

To enable the features for Automotive Cloud, first assign yourself the System Administrator user profile. Then, assign the required permission set licenses and permission sets to your User record.
Note The settings covered in this topic pertain to the key features within Automotive Cloud. If
you’re using additional features from Manufacturing Cloud, Field Service, Commerce Cloud, and
other products, enable them separately.

To access objects related to vehicle and stakeholder management:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Automotive, and then select Automotive Settings.
- Enable Automotive.

To access the service console with predefined Service Excellence components:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Service Console for Automotive, and then select Service Console for Automotive.

Enable Service Console for Automotive.
When you enable this feature, you also get access to the predefined Identity Verification flows for Automotive.
Note When you create a scratch org for Automotive Cloud where the Service Console for Automotive setting is enabled, assign the Automotive Foundation User and the Industry Service Excellence permission sets to the scratch org user. The two predefined Identity Verification flows are available after you assign the permission sets.

To manage connected services for vehicles using predefined MuleSoft assets, service process
templates, and Omnistudio components:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Connected Services, and then select Vehicle Connected Services Settings.

Enable Vehicle Connected Services.
Make sure you’ve enabled Automotive in your org before you enable this feature.Agree to the terms and conditions and click Agree & Continue.

Enable Predefined Components for Connected Vehicle Services.
Make sure you’ve enabled the required Omnistudio, Service Process Studio, and Context Service features before you enable this feature.

To access the finance console for Automotive and the predefined components:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Vehicle and Asset, and then select Vehicle and Asset Finance Settings.

Enable Vehicle and Asset Finance.
Make sure you’ve enabled Automotive in your org before you enable this feature.

Enable Vehicle and Asset Finance Additional Components.
When you enable this feature, you also get access to the predefined timelines on the Account and Financial Account pages in the console. Make sure you’ve enabled Timelines in your org before you enable this feature.

To access objects and workflows related to visit management and to access the Partner
Visits app:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Partner, and then select Partner Visit Management.
- Enable Partner Visit Management.

To access objects and workflows related to enhanced lead management capabilities:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Partner, and then select Partner Lead Management.
- Enable Partner Lead Management.

Enable Partner Lead Management Default Mappings.
When you enable this feature, specific fields are automatically mapped between lead line item and opportunity line item, and between lead preferred seller and opportunity seller when you convert a lead into an opportunity. To know which fields are automatically mapped, see Manage Opportunity Products and Preferred Sellers.

To access objects and workflows related to dealer management capabilities:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Partner, and then select Partner Performance Management.
- Enable Partner Performance Management.

To enable person accounts in your org:
Before you complete these steps, create a support ticket to enable person accounts for your org.
- From Setup, enter Person Accounts in the Quick Find box, then select Person Accounts.
- Go through the steps listed on the Setup page.
- Acknowledge the org implications of enabling person accounts.
- Make sure the account object has at least one record type.
- Make sure user profiles that have read permission on accounts have read permission on contacts.
- The organization-wide default sharing is set so that either Contact is Controlled by Parent or both Account and Contact are Private.
- Click Enable Person Accounts.

To enable party relationship groups in your org:
- From Setup, enter Group Membership Settings in the Quick Find box, and then select Group Membership Settings.
- Enable Group Membership.

To enable Timeline in your org:
- From Setup, enter Timeline in the Quick Find box, then select Timeline.

Enable Timeline.
After you enable Timeline, you can’t turn the feature off.

To manage inventories during visits:
- From Setup, enter Inventory Settings in the Quick Find box, then select Inventory Settings.
- Enable Visit Inventory Management.

To create interest tags:
- From Setup, enter Topics in the Quick Find box, then select Topics for Objects.
- Click Enable Topics beside the required objects.
- From Setup, enter Interest in the Quick Find box, then select Interest Tags.
- Enable Let users access interest tags feature.

To access Knowledge in Service Console for Automotive:
After you enable Lightning Knowledge, you can’t disable the feature.
- From Setup, enter Knowledge in the Quick Find box and click Knowledge Settings.
- On the Knowledge Settings page, click Edit.

Select Enable Lightning Knowledge.
Note To enable Lightning Knowledge, you must have one article type. For more details, see Set Up and Configure Lightning Knowledge.

To create Experience Cloud sites and collaborate with customers and partners:
- From Setup, enter Digital Experiences in the Quick Find box, then select Digital Experiences.
- On the Settings page, select Enable Digital Experiences.

Save your changes.

To schedule test drive and vehicle service appointments using Salesforce Scheduler
capabilities:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Automotive, and then select Automotive Settings.
- Enable Automotive Scheduler.

To create and configure record alerts, and to use the OmniScript-based flows for test drive
and vehicle service appointments:
- From Setup, enter Omnistudio in the Quick Find box, then select Omnistudio Settings.
- Enable Standard Omnistudio Runtime.

To allow selection of multiple service resources for scheduling test drive
appointments:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Scheduler, and then select Salesforce Scheduler Settings.

Enable Multi-Resource Scheduling.
For test drive appointments, users must select two service resources. One agent service resource assigned to the appointment, and one asset resource which represents the test drive vehicle.

To allow users set up operating hours for work type groups:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Scheduler, and then select Salesforce Scheduler Settings.
- Enable Operating Hours for Service Territory Members for Work Type Groups.

To allow users search the vehicle inventory data based on multiple criteria:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Criteria, and then select Criteria-Based Search and Filter.

Enable Criteria-Based Search and Filter.
Enable Automotive before turning on this feature, so that you can access all objects required for inventory search. The Data Processing Engine template for inventory search is available only when both features are enabled.

To run and manage Data Processing Engine definitions:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Data Pipelines, and then select Get Started.
- Enable Data Pipelines.

To define warranty standards and terms and process dealer as well as supplier recovery
claims:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Warranty, and then select Warranty Lifecycle Management.
- Enable Warranty Lifecycle Management.

To create and mange fleet activities:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Fleet, and then select Fleet Management Settings.
- Enable Fleet Management.
