Manage Dealer Sales Reports and Claims

Manage Dealer Sales Reports and Claims

When a dealer sells a vehicle, the dealer reports the sale back to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) with a retail delivery report (RDR). OEMs use these reports to track the sale of each vehicle and key details, such as the participating customer account, type of sale, the delivery date, and the odometer reading at the time of delivery. With Automotive Cloud, you can track proof-of-sales records for each vehicle, part, or accessory that's sold by a dealership. Use Rebate Claims to report sale of vehicles. Use Transaction Journals to report sale of accessories.

          Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

If your company uses Rebate Management or any other application to manage dealer incentives, you can compute payouts based on these transaction journals. OEMs also use retail delivery reports to further analyze dealer performance. After a vehicle is sold and the OEM approves the report, dealers can initiate downstream processes to engage the vehicle owner or customer. For example, dealers can invite the customer to the community and activate other membership services.

          • Report Sales of Vehicles
Dealers can strengthen collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) by creating granular retail delivery reports (RDRs) for vehicles. Create a Rebate Claim record to report a vehicle sale with key information, such as the odometer reading at the time of delivery, trade of parts between different dealers, and other details. Meet advanced business needs, such as rebate calculations and dealer performance analysis by converting rebate claims to Transaction Journal records.
          • Report Sales of Parts and Accessories
Dealers can track the sale of parts and accessories and report these sales to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Create a Transaction Journal record to capture transaction information, such as amount and quantity of sale, related assets or vehicles, and trade of parts between dealerships. Consolidate all transactions by converting Rebate Claim records, which store vehicle sale information, to Transaction Journal records.
          • Process Dealer Claims and Transaction Journals
Convert retail delivery reports into Transaction Journal records to consolidate the list of all vehicle, part, and accessory sales in your company. For each asset that a dealer sells, you can track key details about the transaction, such as the asset identifier, quantity, date of delivery, and other participating dealer accounts. These Transaction Journal records can power CRM Analytics to help you analyze dealer performance and retail sales. You can also initiate other business processes to determine the dealer’s eligibility for sale-based incentives. You can use Rebate Management to manage the end-to-end incentive lifecycle.
