            How Does Vehicle Inventory Search Work in Automotive Cloud

            Powered by the Automotive Cloud data model, the vehicle inventory search framework helps your users find vehicles and plan inventory better. Users can search based on criteria such as location, model, distance range, fuel type, transmission type, color, and more. By analyzing the results, users can get visibility into their dealer’s inventory.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

            The inventory data is spread across multiple objects in Automotive Cloud. While all objects are searchable on their own, there’s no single object that combines fields from multiple objects, and data from multiple records.

            The Vehicle Searchable Field object combines key fields from the following objects.

            • Vehicle
            • Vehicle Definition
            • Product
            • Product Item
            • Serialized Product
            • Location
            • Account

            And the Vehicle Definition Searchable Field object combines key fields from the following objects.

            • Product
            • Price Book Entry
            • Business Brand
            • Geo Country
            • Vehicle Definition

            All vehicles that aren’t sold to customers and are located at different dealer locations or manufacturing locations qualifies as inventory in Automotive Cloud.
