          Post-Installation Tasks

          After you install the managed packages, assign permission sets and upload files to Salesforce.

          • Setup Default Location
            After you install the managed packages, check that the Default Location record is created as part of the installation. The Default location record is required for Visit creation as this record is automatically assigned to the Advanced Visits Place field. The Default Location record must be shared with all internal users in the system.
          • Explore the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant for Advance Features (Optional)
            After you’ve installed the managed packages, you can use the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant for Advance Features tool to perform key setup tasks. Alternatively, you can perform these tasks from Setup in the Consumer Goods app. To use The Consumer Goods Setup Assistant for Advance Features tool, add the Consumer Goods Setup Assistant component to any of your pages, record or app. You can also create a page using the Lightning App Builder and add the component in the new page.
          • Deploy Additional Metadata
            Download unmanaged permission sets and approval processes from the additional metadata folder in Static Resources. Set up approval processes for custom objects; and get object and field permissions for standard and custom objects using the unmanaged permission sets.
          • Static Resource Files
            After you download and install managed packages, upload multiple files from Static Resources to Salesforce by using dataloader.io.
          • Extended Localization Files for Picklist Mapping Extension and Data Type Option
            To get translations for picklist values, import the updated CSV localization files for Mobile App Picklist Mapping Extension and Data Type Option.
          • Modify Page Layouts
            To have a seamless experience while working with the Consumer Goods Offline mobile app; change the page layout for the Content Version, Event, User Setting, and Sales Organization objects; and then assign user customizations for the required user profiles.
          • Set Up Consumer Goods Cloud Processing Services
            To maintain uninterrupted connectivity with and access to the Salesforce org, create a connected app and pair the Salesforce org with the CG Cloud Processing Service.
          • Consumer Goods Cloud Flows
            Automate some of your repetitive business tasks by using Flows. Consumer Goods Clouds out-of-the-box provides Overridable Flows to automate some of the key business workflows that run behind the scenes for ‌uninterrupted Retail Execution. You can use them as-is or create customizations. These Flows are part of the managed package and are initially in an Inactive status. They can be activated according to your requirements.
