          Master Data

          By using master data, you can collect, aggregate, and distribute retail process data consistently. Master Data is required for retail business functions such as order taking, visit management, and activity execution.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Professional, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

          Objects in master data store information about:

          • Accounts, account hierarchy (trade org hierarchy), account relationships, and account receivables.
          • Product hierarchies, units of measure, product parts, and listing modules.
          • Templates to create accounts, products, activities, surveys, assets, and visits.
          • Account users, user roles, and user substitution.
          • Multimarket business segmentation using sales orgs. Master data is unique for each sales org.
          • Segmentation of manufacturer’s business using org units and org unit hierarchy.
          • Customer Master Data and Related Key Objects
            Manage account data such as customer hierarchies, roles, relationships by using Customer Master objects.
          • Org Unit Key Objects
            Build org unit hierarchies and manage customer relationships by using Org Unit objects.
          • Sales Organization Key Objects
            Create business segments within the Consumer Goods Cloud to structure your data and business processes by your organizational unit by using Sales Organization objects.
          • Customer Sets and Segmentation Key Objects
            Prioritize and plan activities at a group level by using Customer Sets objects.
          • Assets and Point of Sale Key Objects
            Manage assets by using Asset and Point of Sale (POS) objects and relationships.
          • Product Master Key Objects
            Monitor and manage product information for enhanced business processes with product objects and relationships. Product Master stores the data that you require to identify a product.
