          TPM Promotion Integration with RE

          Seamlessly integrate and run your planned Trade Promotion Management (TPM) promotions as sellable promotions in Retail Execution (RE). The system automatically recreates a sellable promotion in RE when TPM promotions are marked as transferrable (Is Transfer Relevant as Yes in the promotion template). Transfer promotions asynchronously through the triggers on the user interface or transfer the promotions in bulk through a batch process. Plan and automatically transfer TPM promotions to RE in a specific phase.

          When you transfer a promotion, you transfer the promotion with the tactic, tactic products, and files of the promotion. See Promotion Transfer Relevant Fields for details on the fields transferred from TPM to RE during the promotion transfer process. Any changes in the source TPM promotions are reflected in the target RE promotion.

          The promotion transfer process also transfers any Salesforce files linked in the TPM promotion to the retail promotion. Similar to how it’s in a TPM promotion, the system creates a link to the content file in the RE promotion.

          ​​You can transfer TPM promotions as RE promotions in the same sales organization or a different sales organization. Transfer of promotions to the same sales organization can happen when the customer and product hierarchies are harmonized between TPM and RE promotion. To transfer the TPM promotion to a different customer or product hierarchy in RE, use another sales organization.

          The transferred RE promotion can interact with other retail processes. The transferred RE promotions are synchronized to the offline app based on the existing synchronization rules and made available in the mobile app to drive other retail processes such as surveys and order taking. An HQ manager can link the transferred RE promotions to activities or sales folders. Moreover, the Key Account Manager can analyze the feedback about the store's participation in the promotion or the store’s compliance with the promotion.

          You can adjust the out-of-the-box promotion transfer logic. By adding customizable hooks to the promotion transfer process, you can customize the business logic or the promotion fields transferred to RE.

          • Addition of additional standard or custom attributes.
          • Removal of preconfigured attributes.
          • Creation of multiple RE promotions out of a single TPM promotion with multiple tactics (one RE promotion per TPM tactic).
          • Implementation of a logic to transfer the customer sets (based on a custom TPM implementation).
          • Considerations for Promotion Transfer
            The promotion transfer process is a unidirectional process and happens only from Trade Promotion Management to Retail Execution.
          • Transfer a Promotion with a Tactic
            After you set up a TPM promotion template, its associated source tactic template, and the source tactic in the Trade Promotion Management promotion as transferrable, a sellable promotion record is created in RE and every change to the TPM promotion is reflected in the target RE promotion.
          • TPM RE Product Resolution
            The transfer of products from Trade Promotion Managament promotion to Retail Execution promotion is based on the identification of the source (TPM) and target (RE) products by using planning key resolution. The transfer of products is possible where the TPM and the RE products have the same planning key and the product level is “Product”.
          • Add Files in the Related List for a TPM Promotion
            The promotion transfer process transfers any Salesforce files linked in the TPM promotion to the retail promotion. Similar to a TPM promotion, the system creates a link to the content file in the RE promotion.
          • Configurations for Multiple Tactic Templates as Transfer-Relevant
            In Trade Promotion Management (TPM), you can use the same promotion template across promotions. If multiple tactic templates relate to promotions, then you can mark them as transfer-relevant in a Promotion Template Tactic Template record. The Key Account Manager (KAM) can set up a promotion based on a specific promotion template and decide which tactic to apply during promotion setup.
          • Batch Processing
            Transfer promotions (with tactics, tactic products, and files) from Trade Promotion Management to Retail Execution in bulk through the batch process. Run the batch process via the developer console or schedule the batch process. The batch process configuration name for the transfer process is ‘PromotionTransferBatch’.
          • Deletion of a Transferred Promotion
            When you delete a TPM promotion, the system automatically deletes the transferred RE promotion and its transferred tactic and tactic products. To prevent the deletion of the transferred RE promotion, configure a lock for deletion on the RE promotion.
          • Promotion Integration Configuration Fields
            When you upgrade the managed package, all promotion integration configuration fields aren’t part of the standard layout. Enable the Trade Promotion Management to Retail Execution promotion integration feature by adding the configuration fields to the standard layout.
          • Promotion Transfer Relevant Fields
            During the promotion transfer process, the system identifies and copies data of the transfer relevant fields from Trade Promotion Management promotion to Retail Execution promotion.
