Sales reps can either review the customer tasks that their supervisor created or create
customer tasks during visits. They can see all existing customer tasks in the Customer Task
Overview module. For the customer tasks that they create, they can specify a due date for the
task and associate a customer to the task. Sales reps can use multiple options to filter their
customer task search results and copy customer tasks.

Here’s a typical workflow for customer tasks.
Sales reps either review customer tasks that their supervisor or head office creates or
create customer tasks based on visits. When created, the status of a task is Initial.
Next, sales reps assign priorities and due dates to customer tasks. Priority and due date
ensure that important customer issues are solved quickly and improve customer
satisfaction.
Next, sales reps complete customer tasks as part of a visit, and release those tasks. The
statuses of these tasks change from Initial to Released.
Finally, supervisors can close these tasks. The status of the task changes from Released
to Closed.
Note A sales rep can cancel a task if the status of the task is Initial. And a supervisor can
cancel a task if its status is Released. In both cases, the status to the task changes to
Canceled.
You can edit only the customer tasks that you created. You can’t edit customer tasks that are
in either Complete or Canceled state. The edited data is saved automatically.
The first sync of the day removes a task if a supervisor or admin changes the task status to
Closed, Completed, or Canceled in Salesforce. Regular syncs don't update the task status if
it's already a final status (Closed, Completed, or Canceled).
From the Main tab in the Customer Task module, view the details of a task. From the
Attachments tab, you can view attachments including images and PDFs that give additional
information about a customer task. You can capture an image by using your device, and add it
as an attachment. The preview indicator shows the number of available attachments.
Create Customer Tasks Use the Consumer Good Cloud offline mobile app to create customer tasks during visits. Supervisors can also create tasks for their sales reps to be performed during visits.
Release Customer Tasks Release a customer task after the task is complete. A supervisor can close a task only if the task is released.
Complete Customer Tasks As a sales rep, you can complete a customer task only if the workflow that's assigned to your task allows you to do so.
