Tasks are activities that must be completed before a due date. Sales reps can create
tasks by using templates. They can see all existing tasks on the Task Overview card of the main
menu. Sales reps can specify a due date for the task and associate a user with the task. They
can use multiple options to filter search results and copy a customer task.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and
Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled
In the Consumer Goods Cloud offline mobile app, you can work with tasks as a sales rep or
supervisor.
As a sales rep, you can access, review, edit, release, complete, or cancel tasks that
either you created or are assigned to you. You can’t edit tasks whose status is either
Completed or Canceled. The edited tasks are saved automatically.
As a supervisor, you can access the reports of your team based on your org unit hierarchy.
You can create tasks for your sales reps, and then release the tasks for assignment to the
reps. The Responsible field on the Tasks screen shows your name at first. When you release a
task, the field shows the name of the sales rep whom you assigned the task to. To release a
task, tap Release on the Tasks screen and sync your mobile device.
After the sales rep syncs their device and refreshes the cockpit, they can see the new task
in the mobile app.
Create User Tasks Track personal to-do lists or administrative actions in the Consumer Goods Cloud with user tasks. Unlike customer tasks, which relate to a specific account, use user tasks for non-customer activities to complete internal assignments by a specific due date and make sure that personal actions aren’t missed.
Complete Tasks As a sales rep, you can complete a task only if the workflow assigned to your task allows you to do so. Either you or your team members can complete the tasks.
