Delivery Execution Configurations on the Consumer Goods Cloud Desktop App
Make certain configurations on the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app as part of the
initial setup for delivery execution of tours on the Consumer Goods Cloud offline mobile
app.

Goods Cloud is enabled
Track Visit Start Location and Time
To track the tour driver’s location and start time, on Visit Template, set:
Location Capture at Start as Yes
Capture Proceeding Time as Yes
Note The app automatically updates the Actual Start Time and Start Geolocation fields on the
Visit object when the tour driver starts a visit.
Track Visit End Time and Location
To track the tour driver’s location and end time, on Visit Template, set:
Location Capture at Complete as Yes
Capture Proceeding Time as Yes
The app updates the Completed Date, Actual End Time, and Geolocation fields on the Visit
object when the tour driver ends a visit.
Configurations for Van Sales Delivery Execution Consumer Goods Cloud out of the box ships all the relevant templates for vans sales orders such as Order Template, Order Item Template, and Inventory Transaction Template, via the demo data upload in Static Resources. When you download the demo data, you can use these out of the box templates for the van sales order. The templates are prepoulated with key fields along with the all relevant fields for the template to create an order without manually making these configurations. To customize these templates, configure these key fields on the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app along with the relevant fields required for that template.
Configurations for Delivery Documents Typically, delivery documents are integrated from the external systems as orders and have the document type as delivery in the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app. You can use the out-of-the-box templates (such as Order Template, Order Item Template, and Inventory Transaction Template) with relevant configurations for delivery, sellable return delivery, and damaged return delivery after you do the demo data upload in Static Resources. The templates are prepopulated with key fields to execute deliveries, and you don’t need to manually make these configurations. To customize these templates or create new delivery templates, configure these key fields on the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app along with the relevant fields required for that template.
