          Audit an Asset

          Audit an Asset

Use the Asset Audit object to record your observations for an asset during its audit. Track assets to confirm that assets assigned to customers are placed at the customer location.

          Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.
          User Permissions Needed
          To create asset audits:

          CGCloud Supervisor

          OR

CGCloud Retail Supervisor User AND CGCloud Retail User

          OR

          CGCloud Sales User

          OR

CGCloud Retail Sales User AND CGCloud Retail User

If you identify an asset at a customer location that isn’t assigned to the customer, you must track these assets. As a legal requirement, all assets must be correctly assigned to customers.

Create asset audits for an unregistered asset from the View Asset button during visits. The system tracks these unregistered assets using the tag number and automatically matches with an asset in the system.

          • If an unregistered asset is identified by its tag number, then the asset audit is automatically assigned to the identified asset if it has the same sales org.
          • If an unregistered asset isn’t identified by its tag number, then an asset audit is created as an unregistered asset audit, and must be manually addressed by a user.
          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Asset Audits, and then click New.
