          Create User Notifications

          Create notifications to communicate important information to your reps. For example, topics to discuss during the next team meeting.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions that have Consumer Goods Cloud enabled.
          User Permissions Needed
          To create user notifications:

          CGCloud Supervisor

          OR

          CGCloud Retail Supervisor User AND CGCloud Retail User

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Tasks, and then click New Task.
          2. Select the User Notification record type, and then click Next.
          3. Provide these details.
            Field Description
            Task Information
            Task Record Type Record type of a task.
            Subject

            Subject of a user notification. The options are:

            • Call
            • Email
            • Send Letter
            • Send Quote
            • Other

            You can also enter text.

            Name

            Name of a contact for whom the notification is applicable. The options are:

            • Contacts
            • Leads
            Assigned To Individual to whom a task is assigned. By default, a task is assigned to the individual who creates it.
            Status

            Status of a task. The options are:

            • Not Started
            • In Progress
            • Completed
            • Waiting for someone else
            • Deferred
            Priority

            Priority of a task. The options are:

            • High
            • Normal
            • Low
            Due Date Date by when a task must be completed.
            Related To

            Object to which a task is associated. This attribute is used only with the Consumer Goods Visit Execution app.

            To update this field, select an object, and then select a record. For example, select the Assets object, and then select the Refrigerator record.

            Description Information
            Comments User comments.
          4. Save your changes.
