Assign Permission Sets and Permission Set Licenses
To use Communications, Media, and Energy features, assign permission sets and permission set licenses to your users.
Note Users Migrating from Managed Package License to Permission Set License:
To access all industry features, the managed package license is sufficient. However, to restrict the
user's functionality, use the permission set license. Also, assigning a permission set
license overrides the managed package license for accessibility features. Therefore, you
can assign related permission sets to provide access to specific functionality.
When you assign permission sets to a user, Salesforce automatically assigns the corresponding permission set licenses too. However, if you assign a permission set license, you must manually assign the equivalent permission sets. To ease the transition to permission set licenses, we recommend that you:

Categorize your users based on their persona.

Identify and customize the permission sets for each persona.

Assign these customized permission sets to your users.
