Configure Batch Creation of Sub-Orders (Managed Package)

Configure Batch Creation of Sub-Orders (Managed Package)

When you create a final order from an enterprise quote, the system automatically initiates the generation of sub-orders. This bulk, asynchronous process that runs in the background, saves time when you are generating a large number of orders at once. You can enable this feature in the CPQ configuration setup.

Managed Package Icon This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.

          REQUIRED EDITIONS
          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

As part of the Enterprise Sales Management migration, in case you haven't done so earlier, ensure you migrate the ESM_CreateSubOrdersInBatch integration procedure. Additionally, add the ESMCreateSubOrdersInBatchProcName configuration setting and set its value to ESM_CreateSubOrdersInBatch. For more information, see Download and Deploy Enterprise Sales Management Datapacks.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Vlocity CMT Administration.
          2. In the Custom Settings section, click CPQ Configuration Setup.
          3. Find the ESMCreateSubOrdersInBatch field and set its value to true.
          4. To configure the number of orders created per batch, find the ESMBatchSizeForCreateSubOrders field and enter your desired batch size.
            Note
Note Setting this value too high may cause the process to exceed Salesforce Governor Limits, especially if the orders contain Member Groups.
          5. Save your changes.
