Configure Pricing Designer
This topic contains configuration steps for the Salesforce Industries Pricing Designer. Salesforce Industries Pricing Designer is the next-generation pricing administration application. It provides a unified user experience with improved efficiency and agility to create and maintain product pricing, promotions, and associated rules, giving both business and IT users access to the pricing management capabilities they need.
Perform the following steps to ensure the Pricing Designer displays the correct page layouts and compact layouts.

Set up the Pricing Designer Lightning App:

From Setup, enter App Manager in the Quick Find box.

Click App Manager. The Lightning Experience App Manager page appears.

Scroll down and click Vlocity Pricing Designer. If you do not see Vlocity Pricing Designer, but instead see Vlocity Pricing Console, then continue with the following steps.

Click the arrow on the right, then click Edit. The App Details and Branding page appears.

If the name is Vlocity Pricing Console:
-
In the App Name field, update the Label to Vlocity Pricing Designer.

In the Description field, type Manage Pricing Configuration.
-
Click Save.
-

From the left panel, click User Profiles.
-
Ensure that your Administrator profile (e.g., System Administrator) is active under the Selected Profiles list.

Click Save.

Set up the Default Lightning Record Page:
-
Click Setup.
-
Click Object Manager.
-
In the Quick Find box, search for the Price List object.
-
Under the Label column, click the Price List object. The Price List Object Details page appears.
-
From the panel on the left, click Lightning Record Pages.
-
Click Vlocity EPC Price List Page.
-
Click View or Edit, whichever is available.
-
Click Activation.
-
Click APP, RECORD TYPE AND PROFILE.
-
Click Assign to App, Record Types and Profile. This button only appears when you first access the page. Once you assign the record to a profile, you no longer see this button.
The Select Apps dialog appears.

Check Vlocity Pricing Designer, then click Next.
-
Select the Form Factor, such as Desktop, then click Next.
-
Select the Master record type to display the Vlocity EPC Price List Page record page, then click Next.

Check the System Administrator profile for which you would like to provide access to the Product Designer, then click Next.

Review the app, record type, profile, and form factor combinations that will display the Vlocity EPC Price List Page record page.

Click Save.
-
Click the Back arrow to exit the Lightning setup page.

Repeat these steps to assign Lightning Record pages for these remaining objects:

Assign a Page Layout to the profile and record
type:

Click Setup.
-
Click Object Manager.
-
In the Quick Find box, search for the Charge Measurement object.

Click Page Layouts.
-
Click the Page Layout Assignments button in the upper right corner.
-
Click Edit Assignment.
-
Select System Administrator.
-
Go back to the top and set Page Layout To Use to Vlocity EPC Charge Measurement Layout.
-
Click Save.
-
Repeat the previous steps, but instead of using the Charge Measurement object, repeat the steps to assign Lightning Record pages for these remaining objects:

Set up the Compact Layouts from the Highlights
panel:

Click Setup.
-
Click Object Manager.
-
In the Quick Find box, search for the Price List object.

Click Price List.
-
Click Compact Layouts.
-
Click Vlocity EPC Price List Compact Layout.
-
Click the Compact Layout Assignment button.
-
Click Edit Assignment.
-
Assign the Vlocity EPC Price List Compact Layout to the Master or other record types.
-
Repeat the previous steps, but instead of using the Price List object, repeat the steps to assign Lightning Record pages for these remaining objects:

Remove actions from Page Layout:

Click Setup.
-
Click Object Manager.
-
In the Quick Find box, search for the Charge Measurement object.

Click Charge Measurement.
-
Click Page Layouts.
-
Click Vlocity EPC Charge Measurement Layout.

Under Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section, click the Override the predefined actions link and remove all the actions.
To remove an action, drag it from the actions section and drop it on the list above.

Click Save.
-
Repeat the previous steps, but instead of using the Charge Measurement object, repeat the steps to remove actions for these remaining objects:

Drag and drop Edit (Promotion__c.Promotion_Edit) Quick Action from Mobile & Lightning Actions onto the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.

Assign the Default Price List field to
Catalog Layout
(Vlocity) page layout:

Click Setup.
-
Click Object Manager.
-
In the Quick Find box, search for the Catalog object.

Click Catalog.
-
Click Page Layouts.
-
Click Catalog Layout (Vlocity). The layout editor appears.
-
In the page layout list, click Fields.
-
Drag Default Price List field (DefaultPriceListId) and drop it under the Catalog Detail section.
-
Click Save.
-

Assign Implementation Name and Method Name
columns to the Pricing Plan table:
-
Click Setup.
-
Click Object Manager.
-
In the Quick Find box, search for the Pricing Plan object.
-
Click Pricing Plan.
-
Click Page Layouts.
-
Click Vlocity EPC Pricing Plan Layout.
-
In the Related Lists section, click the Related List Properties (wrench) icon.
-
Under Available Fields, select Implementation Name and Method Name and add them to Selected Fields.
-
Click OK.
-
Click Save.
-

Assign New Promotion and New Discount buttons to the
list view for the Promotion object:
-
Click Setup.
-
Click Object Manager.
-
In the Quick Find box, search for the Promotion object.
-
Click Promotion.
-
Click Search Layouts for Salesforce Classic.
-
Click the associated drop-down for List View and click Edit. The Promotion List View page appears.
-
In the Standard Buttons section, uncheck New [New].
-
In the Available Buttons section, select New Promotion and New Discount and add them to the Selected Buttons list.
-
Click Save.
-
Repeat the above steps to assign the New Price List button to the Price List Object.

- Rename the Promotion tab:

Ensure the following tabs appear in the Pricing
Designer:

Price Lists
-
Pricing Plans
-
Pricing Variables
-
Promotions and Discounts
-
Time Plans
-
Time Policies
-
Charge Measurements
If you do not see any of these tabs, then:

Click Setup.
-
In the Quick Find field, type User Management Settings.
-
Click User Management Settings.
-
Disable Enhanced Profile User Interface.
-
In the Quick Find field, type Profiles.
-
Click Profiles.
-
Click System Administrator (which may be on the next page).
-
Click the Edit button of the currently used User Profile.
-
Under Custom Tab Settings, set Default On for the tab in question.

Click Save.
