Configure Your Google Maps API Key for Enterprise Sales Management (Managed Package)

Configure Your Google Maps API Key for Enterprise Sales Management (Managed Package)

Enterprise Sales Management uses Google Maps APIs to find locations on a map. To enable this functionality, you must generate the required Google Maps API key in Google Maps Platform. Then, add your Google Maps API key in your org. This API key is used to validate Google Maps API calls.

Managed Package Icon This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.

To create and add your Google Maps API key:

          1. Follow the steps in the Google Maps Platform Documentation to get started with Google Maps and generate the required API key for the Google Maps JavaScript API and Geocoding API.
          2. In your Enterprise Sales Management org, go to Settings and click Setup.
          3. In Quick Find, enter Custom and click Custom Metadata Types.
          4. Go to VPLExpress and click Manage Records.
          5. On the VPLExpress custom metadata page, go to GoogleMapAPI and click Edit.
          6. In Value, enter your Google Maps API key.
            Note
Note If the Value field isn’t available, you can add it to the VPLExpress page layout.

(Custom Metadata Types > VPLExpress > VPLExpress Layout > Edit)

          7. Click Save.
          • Your Google Maps API key is added in your org and is used whenever the Google Maps API is called.
