Industries CPQ for Energy & Utilities Cloud
Industries CPQ provides many benefits for energy and utility companies, mostly regarding pricing. Whether you are a retail energy company or a regulated utility, and whether your customer is a homeowner or a business with many office locations, CPQ lets you give the customer a calculated estimate up front, before they sign up. In a regulated market, this depends partly on their geographic locations.
Without Industries CPQ, either quoting and pricing capabilities are more limited, or integration with a third-party pricing application is required.
Industries CPQ benefits include:
-
Inclusion of commodity unit rates in Orders — see Child Line Items in the Cart.
-
Inclusion of commodity unit rates in Assets — see Handle Cost Components in Assets.
-
Mapping of Service Points in Asset-based ordering — see Mapping Objects for Asset-Based Ordering.
-
Calculation of commodity unit rate prices in product bundles — see Pricing Strategies for Product Bundles.
-
Usage pricing — see Usage-Based Pricing for Industries CPQ.
-
Attribute-based pricing — see Attribute-Based Pricing.
-
Rules that allow or disallow pricing adjustments — see Qualification Rules for Pricing Adjustments (Contextual Adjustments).
-
Orders and pricing for multisite customers — see Multi-Site Quote and Order Capture for Industries CPQ.
