To increase this limit to show up to 10 eligible promotions, contact Salesforce Customer Support.

Amend, Renew, and Cancel Assets with Promotions

Sales reps can use the Managed Asset viewer on your account to amend, renew, or cancel (ARC) assets that have promotions to meet the needs of your customers.

For example, a sales rep can use an ARC of assets to add a TV to an account with ‌ active internet, add a TV to an account with ‌ canceled internet, add a theme pack to an account with active TV and internet, or upgrade an internet subscription.

To amend, renew, and cancel assets, see Amend, Renew, and Cancel Assets.

Here are some of the considerations for ARC of assets with promotions.

          • The availability of eligible promotions in the quote or order depends on the pricing source of the asset.
          • By default, the pricing source is empty and is considered as list price.
          • When you amend an asset with a list price pricing source, you can see previously applied promotions, and apply new promotions from the list of eligible promotions.
          • When you amend an asset with a last transaction price pricing source, you can see previously applied promotions, but can’t apply new promotions.
          • When you reduce the quantity during amendment of an asset, the pricing source is the last transaction price, and you can’t apply new promotions.
          • When you increase the quantity during amendment of an asset, the pricing source is a list price, and you can apply new promotions.
          • When you renew an asset, the pricing source is a list price, and you can apply new promotions.
          • When you cancel an asset, the pricing source is the last transaction price, and you can see the previously applied promotions.
          • When a promotion is applied during an initial sale, amendment, or renewal, it generates an Asset Action Source Price Adjustment record for an asset. Each time users apply the same or different promotions in separate transactions, an Asset Action Source Promotion record is created for every transaction.
