          Post-Install Steps for ​CME Summer '22

          If you are new to CME and have recently installed the Summer '22 release, follow these necessary manual configuration steps to set up and customize CME.

          You can perform the post-install steps manually or using the Vlocity Installation Assistant.

          • Post-Install Using the Vlocity Installation Assistant: You can use the Vlocity Installation Assistant to guide you through the required post-installation steps. See Vlocity Installation Assistant.

          • Post-Install Manual Steps: If you don't choose to use the Vlocity Installation Assistant, then perform the Post-Install Manual Steps. However, Vlocity recommends that you use the Installation Assistant.

          After you have installed the applications package, you must perform the following steps.

          1. Configure the default cache partitions for CPQ and OmniStudio:
            • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Platform Cache.

            • Click Platform Cache.

            • Beside CPQPartition, click Edit.

            • In the Org Cache Allocation section, set the Organization cache to 2.

            • Click Save.

            • Repeat steps c to e for the OmniStudio partitions: VlocityAPIResponse, VlocityMetadata, and OrchestrationItems.

          2. Configure custom settings:
            • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Custom Settings.

            • Click Custom Settings.

            • Next to Trigger Setup, click Manage. The Trigger Setup page appears.

            • Make sure the AllTriggers custom setting is On. These triggers generate global keys.

              For more detail, see Enabling the AllTriggers Custom Setting.

            • Set the Party.EnablePartyModel custom setting to On if you plan to use Party-Bound Relationship Graphs for Accounts, Contacts, and Households. If you do not plan to use party relationships, leave Party.EnablePartyModel in its default setting, which is Off.

              For more detail, see Enabling the Party Model Trigger.

            • Verify the EPCProductTrigger setting is enabled. If the EPCProductTrigger setting is not defined, add it and enable it.

            • On the Custom Settings page, next to Run Trigger and Workflow, click Manage. The Run Trigger and Workflow page appears.

            • Verify that a user or profile is defined. If not, click New and add a new user or profile to the setting.

            • Click Save.

          3. Create a remote site setting to support canceling ordersCreate a Remote Site Setting to Support Canceling Orders. For more information, see Settings to Support Canceling Orders
          4. Add the following picklist values:
            • Multiplay to the Product Family picklist field for the Product object. Also, manually activate Product Family picklist field values for the Offer Migration Plan object.

            • ReliesOn to the RelationshipType field of the AssetRelationship standard object. ReliesOn is the API name. Change the label name to Relies On.

          5. For OmniStudio-enabled orgs, enable legacy OmniScripts and Cards:
            • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Omni Interaction Configuration.

            • Click Omni Interaction Configuration.

            • Click New Omni Interaction Configuration.

            • In the Label field, enter EnableLegacyOmniScriptDesignerForLWC.

            • In the Value field, enter true.

            • Click Save.

            • Repeat steps c to f to create another Omni Interaction Configuration called ShowLegacyOmniStudioUi with a value of true.

          6. Install cards and templates:
            • From the App Launcher, click Vlocity Cards, then click the Additional Actions arrow in the top-right and install and activate all cards shown.

            • From the App Launcher, click Vlocity Templates, then click the Additional Actions arrow in the top-right and install and activate all templates shown.

          7. In the Vlocity CMT Administration tab under Maintenance Jobs, run the following jobs in the sequence below:

            Tip

            If you don’t see this tab, click the All Tabs button All Tabs button in Salesforce Classic. in Salesforce Classic or the App Launcher App Launcher button in Lightning Experience. in Lightning Experience and then select Vlocity CMT Administration.

            • Account Hierarchy Maintenance -- This job builds a streamlined version of the account hierarchies in the Data Store sObjects, enabling the Refresh Platform Cache job to use the hierarchy data.

            • Interface Implementation Maintenance (Restore) -- This job creates or restores the default set of Vlocity Communications interfaces and implementations.

            • Field Maps Maintenance -- This job restores default Field Mapper settings that the CPQ flow uses to map fields between objects.

              Note
              Note This job deletes any custom maps, so record any custom field mappings you need to restore after this job has run.
            • Object Map Maintenance -- This job deletes existing object mappings and creates default Object Mapper settings for Opportunity, Quote, Order, Asset, and related objects.

          8. In the Vlocity CMT Administration tab under Upgrade Jobs, run the following jobs in the sequence below:

          10. Create a custom notification record for CMEbatchJob API:
            • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Notification Builder..

            • Under Notification Builder, Click Custom Notifications.

            • Click New.

            • In the Custom Notification Name field, enter CMEbatchJob.

            • In the API Name field, enter CMEbatchJob.

            • For Supported Channels, select Desktop and Mobile.

            • Click Save.

          11. Create a custom notification record for BulkNotifications API:
            • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Notification Builder..

            • Under Notification Builder, Click Custom Notifications.

            • Click New.

            • In the Custom Notification Name field, enter BulkNotifications.

            • In the API Name field, enter BulkNotifications.

            • For Supported Channels, select Desktop and Mobile.

            • Click Save.

          12. Add a CMT.BypassTriggerClassCheck custom trigger:
            • From Setup, in the Quick Find box enter Custom Settings.

            • Click Custom Settings. The Custom Settings page appears.

            • Navigate to Trigger Setup.

            • Next to Trigger Setup, click Manage. The Custom Setting page for the Trigger Setup appears.

            • Click New. The Trigger Setup Edit page appears.

            • In the Name field, enter CMT.BypassTriggerClassCheck.

            • Select TriggerOn.

            • Click Save.

          13. Run diagnostics to check if your configuration settings are correct:
            • From the App Launcher, click Vlocity CMT Administration.

            • Under Diagnostics, select Check Configurations Settings.

            • Click Check.

            • Review the results and make any necessary adjustments. If any items are highlighted in red, follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot.

              To modify settings, return to the dashboard, and, under Custom Settings, click CPQ Configuration Setup.
