Post-Install Steps for Contract Lifecycle Management for Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy Winter '22
Before you begin the post-install steps for Contract Lifecycle Management, you must install the Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy (CME) managed package and complete the CME post-install steps.
You can use the Vlocity Installation Assistant to guide you through all the required post-install or post-upgrade steps. See Vlocity Installation Assistant.
If you don't choose to use the Vlocity Installation Assistant, you can follow the steps in the following procedure to configure your installation or upgrade manually. However, Vlocity recommends that you use the Installation Assistant.

Optional Setup Tasks
- Create the Vlocity Document Template Library for CME Winter '22
You must create a Vlocity Document Template library to store the document templates that you create. - Install and Activate Vlocity Templates for CME Winter '22
You must install the necessary Vlocity templates, if they haven't been installed already in order to generate documents. - Verify the Document Template Picklist for CME Winter '22
Most likely you already have document template picklist set up with these values. From the type column check to make sure that you do have the appropriate picklist values configured, and if not add them. - Create the Main Font Resource for CME Winter '22
When you create PDF files from documents, you must set up the fonts for the conversion. - Import and Activate DocumentTemplateTest for CME Winter '22
Install and activate the Generic Document Generation OmniScript, and the Omnistudio Data Mappers and Vlocity Action used in the OmniScript. - Install and Activate Other Sample OmniScripts for CME Winter '22
Install and activate other sample OmniScript datapacks, DocGenerationSample, DocGenerationSampleLwc, AsyncQuoteToContractSample, and UpdateDeleteContractSample. - Set Up the Salesforce Remote Site Setting for CME Winter '22
You must complete this procedure to add these SFDC remote sites for your org: domain.my.salesforce.com, domain.visualforce.com, and domain.lighting.force.com. - Add Setting to CPQ Configuration Setup for CME Winter '22
You must add the custom setting SaveProductAttribMetadataCache to the CPQ configuration and set the value to true. - Run the Interface Implementation Maintenance Job for CME Winter '22
You must run the Interface Implementation Maintenance job and verify that the Active Implementation Class is TelcoUpdateFrameContract. - Assign Vlocity Layouts to the System Administrator Profile for CME Winter '22
Assign the Sample Contract With Action Bar (Vlocity Telecommunication Service) Layout to your system administrator profile. - Optional: Group Sales Terms in Attribute Category for CME Winter '22
You can group all your sales terms under one attribute category. This procedure is recommended if you want to keep all your sales contract terms under one attribute category for reporting purposes. - Create the Default Contract Type for CME Winter '22
Use this statement in the developer console to create a default contract type. - Verify the Correct Settings in the Default Contract Type for CME Winter '22
You probably have these settings already available, but verify that the default contract type have the correct settings using this procedure. - Install CLM Contract Cards for CME Winter '22
Import and activate the cards you use for CLM. - Import Vlocity Actions for CLM for CME Winter '22
Import and activate the Vlocity actions you use for CLM. - Import Vlocity Actions for Contract Discounts for Frame Agreements for CME Winter '22
Import and activate the Vlocity actions you use for frame agreements. - Verify Global Auto Number Settings Values for CME Winter '22
You probably have this custom setting already set up, but verify the global auto number setting values using this procedure. - Map Fields for General Terms for CME Winter '22
Use the field mapper to set up fields for general terms. - Optional: Set Up the Contract State Model for CME Winter '22
If you want to use the contract state model, you must enable the state model trigger and import the contract state model static resources. - Optional: Set the Contract Line Item Trigger for CME Winter '22
If the contract line item trigger is off, contract line items can have different start date and end date values than the contract. If the contract line item trigger is on, contract line items automatically have the same Start Date and End date as the contract. - Optional: Set Up DocuSign Functionality for CME Winter '22
To use DocuSign functionality for documents generated from the contracts object, you must complete these steps to set up DocuSign functionality. - Optional: Set Up Partner Communities for CME Winter '22
You can set up your partner community user to access the same CLM functionality as your internal end users. To set up Partner Communities, see Partner Communities Overview. - Optional: Set Up Guest Users for CME Winter '22
For guest users to use an OmniScript that generates documents for opportunities, quotes, orders, or contracts, you must complete additional setup tasks and configuration of the OmniScript. To set up guest users for communities, see Document Generation for Community Guest Users Overview.
