Product Versioning Start and End Dates

Product Versioning Start and End Dates

A product version’s Versioning Start Date Time and Versioning Start End Time fields are key for runtime use. The version of a product is picked during runtime, and the available version is derived from these fields.

          • Each version of a product must have versioning dates that don't overlap with those of another version of the same product.

          • Make sure there are no gaps between product versions that have a Lifecyle Status of Released.

          • Product versions with a Lifecycle Status of Draft can have overlapping versioning dates. But you can't release that product version with overlapping dates. Overlapping dates results in an error.

The selling dates are different from the versioning dates, but they can affect product versioning.

          • Selling period dates can be the same across all the versions of a product.

          • Versioning dates must fall within the selling start and end dates.

          • You can't create a new version after a product has reached its Selling End Date.
