          Resolving Conflicts for Attribute Assignments

Conflicts can occur when attributes are copied across objects. A precedence order determines which attributes are discarded or recreated: Object Type > Product Spec > Product Offer.

When attributes are copied across objects, the following cases how the precedence order determines the attributes to copy.

          • Object Type to Product Spec — Object Type attributes replace Product Spec's attributes, for example, the Product Spec receives attributes from Object Type plus any Attributes added directly to the Product Spec.

          • Product Spec to Product Offer — Product Spec attributes replace Product Offer attributes, for example, Product Offer receives attributes from Prod Spec plus any Attributes added directly to the Offer.

          • Object Type to Product Offer — Object Type attributes replace Product Offer attributes, for example, with a Product Offer with no Prod Spec, the Offer receives attributes from Object Type plus any Attributes added directly to the Offer.
