          Set Up and Customize the Communications Timeline

          A timeline shows data in a base (or primary) object with related objects in such a way that users can make visual sense of it as a sequence of events happening over time. Determine what information appears on the timeline by choosing the base object and the related objects.

          In Communications Service Console, we’ve preconfigured the timeline that has the API name B2B_Account_Timeline.

          You can customize the preconfigured timeline, or create your own timelines.

          To customize a timeline, deactivate it. Then make your modifications and reactivate it.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Timeline, and then select Timeline.
          2. Click Action menu to expand the Actions menu for the Timeline that you want to customize.
            1. Select Deactivate.
              You can now edit the timeline.
            2. Select Edit and configure the timeline as needed.
            3. Select Activate.
