Deploy Sample Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups
You can optionally deploy and install sample permission sets and permission set groups. The sample permission sets provide object, class, and page access for your cloud. You can use permission set groups with both types of CME licenses - managed package licenses and permission set licenses.
Before You Begin
Download the sample permission sets and permission set groups package from Salesforce Industries Process Library for your cloud:
The permission sets provided in the managed package only control access to features, They don't include CRUD access to entities, access to Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and so on. To provide guidance on customizing access for various use cases, use the sample permission sets and permission set groups. Note that these are provided for guidance and we strongly recommend that you customize and test them to ensure they meet the needs of your organization.
If you are using IDX Workbench, these instructions help you with deployment. However, the deployment steps may vary depending on the deployment tool you are using.
- Log in to your destination org where you want to deploy the permission sets and permission set groups.
- Select and deploy the sample permission sets and permission set groups package for your cloud. You can find this package in the Salesforce Industries Process Library.
- After the deployment, expand any of the nodes to identify errors, if any and fix them. You can then check your destination org to confirm that the deployment was successful.
