Fallout Handling
When configuring orchestration items, fulfillment designers have the opportunity to specify the queue that an error is sent to. This section provides details on the configuration of fallout handling.
During fulfillment, orchestration items may experience errors in interacting with fulfillment systems through callouts (when performing calculations or lookups through auto-tasks or during manual task handling).
- Manual Queues for Fallout Handling
As a Fulfillment Designer, you can associate an error queue with an orchestration item when configuring orchestration items. - Managing Fallout at Runtime
At runtime, tasks that have failed are shown in red. You can navigate into the queues associated with the tasks by clicking the task name. For orchestration items, locate the queue name associated with the task under the Manual Queues list. - Delete the Resolve Fallout Orchestration Item Definition
If a callout or autotask has failed before an order is canceled, OM moves that item to a Failed Discarded state, and adds a manual task to check for fallout. If you'd rather that OM didn't add that manual task, you can delete its definition from the relevant orchestration plan.
