One-Time Decomposition
One-time decomposition is also known as Event Service, and allows you to configure a product specification as "not assetizable" for any one-time events, such as customer email notifications.
Considering the example of a Basic Channel Pack with an attribute named TVA Sport, that controls customer access to the TV Sport Application, you may have a new requirement where you need to send an email notification to the customer once the activation is complete. To do this, send some basic information that is sourced from the TV Service. After the email has been sent, you can discard that information, because this is a one-time event.
To address this requirement, you use one of the catalog features where you can configure a product specification as not assetizable. This informs Order Management to not persist the technical product during the assetization process. The assetize auto task doesn't create an inventory item for the product or Fulfillment Request Line.
- Create a RFS TV Activation Notification technical specification in the product catalog.
- Mark RFS TV Activation Notification as NotAssetizable.
- Create a decomposition relationship between TV Service and RFS TV Activation Notification and map the relevant attributes.
