You are here:
Preventing New User Accounts from Blocking Order Submission
You can avoid product catalog synchronization for new and modified users who do not have access to Order Management Plus.
Anytime you create a new user account in Order Management, whether through Salesforce, LDAP synchronization, etc., there are two settings you can use to prevent order submission from being blocked in accordance with catalog synchronization between Order Management Plus and Salesforce.
The settings to control synchronization are:
-
SuppressUsersSync: Enables and disables user synchronization globally between Order Management Plus and Salesforce. SuppressUsersSync is a custom setting in XOMSetup. You can set it to true or false. This setting is false by default, and is part of the post-installation process. For steps to set it up, see Set SuppressUsersSync to control user synchronization between Salesforce and OM Plus.
-
OMplus Enabled: Specifies if the user is synchronized to Order Management Plus. A newly-created user should not have access to Order Management Plus. Therefore, OMplus Enabled is false by default. If you enable OMplus Enabled, you give the user has access to Order Management Plus. For steps to set it up, see Enable user access to Order Management Plus
The settings produce the following behavior:
-
If SuppressUsersSync is TRUE and OMplusEnabled is FALSE, then the user is NOT synchronized to Order Management Plus.
-
If SuppressUsersSync is TRUE and OMplusEnabled is TRUE, then the user is NOT synchronized to Order Management Plus.
-
If SuppressUsersSync is FALSE or left undefined and OMplusEnabled is FALSE, then the user is NOT synchronized to Order Management Plus (i.e. User synchronized is disabled by default).
-
If SuppressUsersSync is FALSE or left undefined and OMplusEnabled is TRUE, then the user IS synchronized to Order Management Plus.
SuppressUsersSync has priority over OMplus Enabled.
- Set SuppressUsersSync to control user synchronization between Salesforce and OM Plus
Use the SuppressUsersSync custom setting to avoid product catalog synchronization for new and modified users who do not have access to Order Management Plus. - Enable user access to Order Management Plus
The OMplus Enabled setting specifies if the user is synchronized to Order Management Plus. If you select OMplus Enabled, you give the user access to Order Management Plus. - Test that user info exported from OM Standard to OM Plus
After catalog synchronization is complete, you can check to see that a user has been exported to Order Management Plus.
